Artist: Sarah Freeman
Artwork Title: 'Wildlife in the Suburbs'
Artwork Location: Templeville Road,Templogue, Dublin
Artwork Description: I wanted to create a piece that highlights where the suburbs meet nature. The tree-lined streets, parks, and the hills in the distance are what make southern Dublin suburbs so beautiful and special. The butterfly watches over the houses tucked into the safety of the suburbs.
Biography: I'm an American who has just moved to Dublin after living in Rome for 4 years. I studied art and business at University and practice illustration as a hobby. I have a thyroid disease so the butterfly has become an important symbol to me being that the thyroid is the butterfly-shaped gland. Because of that, I like to sneak it into my illustrations.
