Artwork description:

Inspired by RTE Documentary HERSTORY I’ve chosen to represent Dubliner Oonagh Keogh who became the world’s first female member of a Stock Exchange in 1925, more than 50 years before New York or London, in thanks to the Irish constitution which guaranteed equality. The style is inspired by Klimt.

Biography:

I am a visual artist and I graduated with a BA in Fine Art from NCAD. I work full time in a design agency in Harold’s Cross and previously painted a box in HX. I continue to practice my art from my studio at home, working, mostly in oils as an abstract landscape artist and am represented by the Doorway Gallery.
