“The Ripples of Love” is inspired by two swans who have lived and loved in Balbriggan Harbour for as long as I can remember. Their love for each other holds no bounds, as they choose to migrate together and return as one. Swans have lots of symbolism in Irish folklore, one of the most notable examples being the story of the Children of Lir. Swans embody a sense of innocence, elegance, and transformation. Unknowingly, these swans have come to represent what Balbriggan is experiencing now, a graceful transformation full of love and community.
I am in the midst of applying to become a graphic design student. I have lived in Balbriggan for majority of my life. I do most of my artwork traditionally, whether it be my design process or the final product, with the occasional use of Digital Art to finalise certain projects. I am particularly fond of my design process as I love to play with new ideas and concepts.
