'Mapped Out'
Blackhall Place, Dublin 7

In my work, I utilise line and colour as ways of creating control or disorder. I took a street map of Dublin and simplified it to include only the outlines. Then following the shapes presented in the map I create concentric lines which fill the gaps. The result is a painting which is still usable as a map but yet unrecognisable.
Rebecca has just completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Art and History of Art in the National College of Art and Design and is currently living and working in Wexford.
