Dublin has become a hugely multicultural city, brimming with different ideas, cultures and stories. As a member of that community, a Mexican living in Dublin, I would like to thank the city for her great welcome and warmth with a painting of one of the most iconic Mexican artists, Frida Kahlo. As a global icon, she will attract plenty of attention in a bustling, cultural focal point in the city.
I am a Mexican artist from Guadalajara, Jalisco living in Dublin. I received a degree in Architecture from the University of Guadalajara. I have been here for five years. A lover of Irish culture, I have now set up a studio in Drumcondra where, for the last few months, I have been working on a new series of acrylics on canvas, based on Irish landscapes. My previous work has focused on Mexican, Moroccan and World cultures. I aspire to exhibit my works publicly once I have a catalogue I am happy to display. I am a keen traveller, cook and dog-lover.
