Artwork description:

The inspiration for this design came from the bygone era of the 1930’s, a historic description of the local children of Swords, playing and chatting near the Bridge Street Corn Mill, Swords Castle in the distance, while their father went into the mill to get the corn ground.

Biography:

Belgian born Niamh Jordan (now based in Swords) has worked on book illustrations, art exhibitions with Balbriggan Scéal Art Collective, ‘The Bábóg Project’ , The Canvases Project 2007 (Cornucopia Restaurant D.2) and done various commissions including signage for an Italian restaurant.
