This box is located outside Lucan Community College – the local secondary school. My design uses ice cream as a metaphor – an enticement of rewards for students after they finish their exams. Ice cream can be eaten plain – or with added toppings and sprinkles to make it richer. Life comes in different flavours – people like different things. People achieve different things. If we think of toppings as opportunities in life, life can be enriched by adding them. Metaphorically, life is better with Sprinkles. Add the Sprinkles!
I am a graphic designer originally from Galway but living in Lucan for the past 25 years. I have worked for many years as both a freelance designer and an in-house designer. I do much of my work digitally - posters, computer illustrations, photo retouching, and PowerPoint presentations. As well as digital work, I also hand-paint murals (interior and exterior), window designs, and signwriting projects.
