This art piece pays homage to growing amounts of plastic in our waters and oceans. The lady is swimming carefree whilst she is surrounded by plastic. The fish are simply just outlined and have no colour to them and look rather sad. I want this piece to raise awareness on the issue of plastic waste being dumped into our waters.
I am an illustrator and aspiring animator based in Kildare. I completed Drawing Studies and Animation in Ballyfermot College of Further Education and have been working as a freelance illustrator since 2018 but have been selling art since 2016. My art is usually digital and combine colour and fun with soft meaning. I have sold at various events and markets such as Artfully Craft Arts Market twice and Dublin Comic Arts Festival.
