The inspiration for this artwork came from my Nana & Granda's relationship - they met in Jacob's Biscuit factory over 50 years ago. I wanted to portray the old Jacob's as I knew it as a child which was the little orange Jacob's van that sat on their mantlepiece and the endless amount of biscuits in the kitchen. I used linear illustrations to depict the iconic shape of the biscuits and subtle background to highlight the van.
I am 21 and in my 2nd year of studying Visual Communications in TU Dublin, Grangegorman. Before this, I completed a one-year Art & Design course in Sallynoggin CFE. I lean towards linear illustrations and vibrant colours in most of my designs, my main inspirations are Aoife Dooley, Fucshia MacAree and Steve McCarthy.
