'Care of your mind'
Ballymun Road, Trinity School, Ballymun, Dublin 11
This is a bright colourful message depicting a young man who is full of colour on the surface but looking deeper we see a man made of grey. I believe that this piece is eye catching and gives a strong message to people who see it. In recent times I believe this message is more important than ever with many people of all ages struggling with their mental health.
I am l8 years old and am sitting my Leaving Certificate in June 19. I submitted my portfolio to DIT for a place on their Visual Communications Degree course, and was awarded 500 out of a total maximum of 600 points. I am delighted that DIT confirmed my place already on the strength of my portfolio. I will start my course in DIT in September 2019. I love creating art that is eye catching and vibrant and am very interested in creating larger and interactive pieces going forward. I am submitting my work to you as I feel Dublin Canvas will give me the opportunity to do this. I plan to spend my summer before joining college in September by fulfilling commissions I have received for my art work, and hopefully creating art for Dublin Canvas. I have also been approached to create larger scale design for a family garden mural in my area.
