This artwork celebrates a widely acclaimed piece of Irish pop culture; Sally Rooney’s “Normal People”. Set in Trinity College, the book explores the complexities of identity, mental health and relationships in modern Ireland, and is a piece of media that a huge amount of young people have found comfort and relatability in in recent years. I think it would be brilliant to have it displayed on Westmorland street considering how close it is to the setting of the book.

Biography:

Eve Fitzsimons is a Dublin-based artist studying Ceramics and Glass with Education at NCAD. Balancing her ceramics and glass studies, her practice has always been rooted in painting. Her creative interests extend beyond visual art—she also runs Swarm, an independent music zine spotlighting emerging artists and underground sounds.
