As one of my of my favourite Dublin landmarks, the Phoenix Park is an invaluable natural resource in the heart of the city and one Dubliners are very proud of, It is home to hundreds of species of wildlife, trees, plants and flowers. It is also a place that many locals and visitors to the city from near and far visit and enjoy-with this in mind It is my proposal to use the two boxes to highlight the diverse natural population of the park and provide Irish names for the plants and animals featured in the pieces so that people may identify and learn some Irish as they soak up the great outdoors and enjoy the scenery.
I am an Artist and Art & Design Teacher based in Dublin 12, and a graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design. My creative interests include Drawing, Print & Illustration. I took part in the Dublin Canvas Project during Summer 2018 and had a hugely enjoyable experience and am very keen to be involved in this summer's callout!
