Pouting for a selfie... love it or loathe it, it’s everywhere. I think most people are either guilty of it, or guilty of slagging people off about it, so hopefully this will give passers-by a chuckle. I put the phrase in Irish because there is a very strong Irish language presence in Ballyfermot, with lots of classes, clubs, naíonraí and most notably Cumann Gaelach Chois Life, a large Irish club which has been running for over 20 years. I think the cúpla focal will be welcome.
I am an Irish artist living and working in Ballyfermot... I grew up there too, I would be absolutely delighted to paint a box there. I have a Degree in Fine Art and a Diploma in Community Arts Education. I worked for over a decade as a Community Arts Facilitator but since 2017 I am working for myself, painting portraits of children and pets. You can see my portrait work here www.portraitsnstuff.ie. I also work at an illustration from time to time and it's something I hope to get more involved with in the future.
